Induction Courses for Forest Guards

The forest staff is trained on Induction, Prompotion,Refresher and On-The-Job. Induction training of Forest Guards is held for six months in which 187 theory classes, 68 practical classes and 65 days of touring is conducted. There are 9 major subjects for training:Silviculture 1&2, Forest Protection & Law, Survey Accounts & Procedure, Community Forestry and Environmental Conservation. The training for wildlife crime detection, investigation and processing of the cases with legal attributes are also discussed with case studies and examples.

Foresters having 45 days and depty ranger officrs having training out of which first and last 15 days orientation held in rangers training college Balaghat

Refresher Courses are organized for serving uniformed staff in the department. The course duration may be of 2-5 days. These courses are tunded by both MPFD and Director, forestry education, Goverment of India
