Annual weed; herbaceous, reaching height of 1.2 m, branches glabrous; leaves 5-7 cm long; leaflets 3 paired, obovate, thin, membranous, glaucous, glabrous above, margin entire, apex obtuse; petiole eglandular, rachis with 2 glands between two lowest pairs of leaflets; stipules small, subulate, caducous; flowers sessile, solitary or fascicled in axillary or terminal, distinctly peduncled corymbose racemes; bract-bracteoles, linear; flowers golden yellow; calyx lobes 5, ovate, pubescent, obtuse; petals 5, yellow, obovate, subequal, clawed; stamens 10, upper - 3 staminodes, perfect 7, unequal filaments, oblong anthers; ovary subsessile, curved, pubescent; pods slightly compressed or sub-tetragonous, narrow, membranous, thickened, glabrous on both sutures, septate between seeds; seeds 20-30, uniseriate, oblong, flattened. |
