Plant Description

Annual, erect, foetid, branched herb; young branches hairy, 4-5 angled; leaflets 4-5 pairs, with glands on rachis between each pair, ovate-lanceolate or oblanceolate, mucronate at apex, fulvous hairy beneath; flowers axillary, fascicled; sepals-5, imbricate; petals yellow, subequal, imbricate; stamens 6-7, fertile; ovary sessile or subsessile, style curved, stigma simple; pods 3-5 cm long, 4 angled, often, thickened on both the sutures, beaked with persistent style; seeds 4-10 obliquely truncate at both ends, brown, smooth.
