Perennial, shrub small or large; leaves linear, lanceolate, tapering at both ends, nearly sessile, margins revolute; flowers yellow, sometimes creamy-white in terminal few flowered cymes, calyx lobes -5, triangular-lanceolate, acute; corolla tube 4-5 cm long, cylindric in the lower one-third, rest part funnel shaped above; petals 5, twisted, bright yellow, overlapping to left; stamens-5, sagitate, connivent; anthers appendiculate, appendages branched at the tip; disc absent; ovaries free or connate, ovules 2 in each, style filiform, stigma disciform; drupes broadly turbinate, slightly compressed, 2.5 cm of more across, broader than long; seed broad with a thin margin, flattened. |
