Plant Description

Perennial, climbing shrubs; stems clothed with short, soft, hairs when young; leaves opposite, broadly ovate, acuminate, cordate at base, membranous; petioles long; flowers greenish yellow, large in axillary umbelliform cymes; peduncles, pubescent when young; pedicels; calyx lobes 5, oblong to lanceolate; corolla greenish yellow, salver shaped, tube swollen at the base, lobes-5, glabrous, oblong, overlapping to the right; corona large, scales broad, large membranous adnate to back of anthers; pollen masses solitary in each cell, elongate, clavate or subcylindric, erect, waxy; stigma capitate, rather longer than the anther cells; follicles lanceolate, terete, tapering to a blunt point, longitudinally ribbed, glabrous, many seeded.
