Biennial or perennial herb with appressed, forked hairs, profusely branched; leaves linear to oblong, entire or sinuate-toothed, base not auricled; inflorescence club-shaped with a cluster of yellow flowers at the top; sepals 4, erect, equal; petals 4, clawed, narrow, golden yellow to reddish-orange; stamens-6, filaments simple; stigma 2-lobed or capitate; style long or short; pods siliqua, elongate, narrow, compressed, tetragonal or terete and hairy, valve linear, 1-nerved, keeled; septum membranous or corky; seeds uniseriate, oblong, not margined, small.
