Slender, perennial creeper or climber with young, pubescent branches ; tendrils forked; leaves alternate, stipulate, succulent, digitate, 3-foliolate, leaflets elliptic-obovate, crenate-serrate, acute, more or less pubescent on both surfaces, main nerves 4-6 pairs, petiolules of terminal leaflet twice as long as that of lateral ones; flowers small, greenish white in terminal, umbellate or corymbose cymes; calyx cupular, truncate or minutely 4 lobed; petals 4, oblong, greenish white, rounded at apex, pubescent outside; stamens-4, inserted round the entire or lobed disc; ovary 2-locular, 2 ovuled, style terete with small or indistinct stigma; berries globose, green, about 1.5 cm long, depressed, 2-4 seeded; seeds obcordate, smooth or angular. |
