Evergreen, scandent shrub up to 5-6 m high, branches, slender, drooping, almost touching to ground; bark rough, greyish-brown, longitudinally fissured; leaves 1 cm, simple, alternate, obovate-elliptic, apex retuse, base cuneate, arranged in fascicles; stipules short, sharp; flowers yellow-orange, solitary or fascicled in axils; calyx 5, puberulous; corolla large up to 2 cm, papilionaceous, standard larger, wings obovate, keel incurved; stamens 10, monadelphous; ovary sessile or subsessile, few ovuled, style slender, curved, glabrous, stigma oblique; pods short, flat; seeds 2-3, winged. |
