Plant Description

Erect shrub, about 1-3 m tall with many slender, sulcate, grey, silky branches; leaves alternate, pinnate, 3-foliolate, leaflets minutely stipellate, oblong-lanceolate, apex acute, margin entire, thinly silky beneath, indistinctly gland-dotted; stipules coriaceous, caducous; inflorescence axillary racemes or terminal panicles; calyx campanulate, teeth short, glandular, pubescent; corolla 1-2 cm, much exserted, 2-3 times longer than calyx, petals equal, yellow with reddish-brown streaks, keel truncate; stamens diadelphous (9+1), anthers uniform; ovary subsessile, few ovuled; style long, filiform, upcurved; stigma capitate; pods 3-5 seeded, 5-10 cm, linear-oblong, narrowed at both ends, torulose with oblique depressions between the non strophiolate seeds, tipped with lower half of style.
