Diffused, annual herb; branches slender, clothed with silky yellow-brown hairs; stipules absent; leaves simple, subsessile, oblong- obovate, base cordate or produced, apex obtuse, margins entire, pubescent on upper surface, nerves obscure; racemes lateral or leaf opposed, 2-4 flowered, peduncles finely silky, twice as the leaves; bracts minute, subulate, persistant, bracteoles linear; calyx densely silky, teeth long, linear, acuminate; corolla small not exserted, yellow, standard oblong, apex deeply emarginate, wings oblong, keel petals broad, beaked, coherent, equaling the wings, jointed down the back distinctly; stamens-10, monadelphous, anthers dimorphous; ovary sessile, stipitate, linear, glabrous, 2- ovulate, style long, incurved at the base, bearded upwards, stigma minute, oblique; pods nearly sessile, linear-oblong, glabrous; seeds 12-15, highly polished, subreniform.
