Plant Description

Prostrate and trailing herb, branchlets very slender often rooting at nodes, clothed with fine spreading hairs; leaves 3-foliolate, leaflets obovate, chartaceous, base cuneate, apex emarginate or obtuse-retuse, margin entire, glabrous above, with appressed hairs below stipules, lanceolate, persistent; stipellae minute, subulate; pedicels short, filiform; flowers 1-3 together on common peduncle in axils of the leaves; calyx pubescent, teeth very long, setaceous; corolla pink or white; stamens diadelphous (9+1), upper stamen free nine united; ovary sessile or stipitate, few ovuled; style incurved; stigma minute capitate; pods 3-5 jointed, pubescent, upper surface straight, lower slightly indented.
