Shrub, 40-60 cm high, stem woody, cylindrical or slightly angular, sparsely covered with silvery hairs; leaves long, stalked, turning black when dried; stipules minute, subulate; leaflets 9-13, opposite, membranous, shortly stalked, oblong-obovate, bluish-green; flowers in silvery, erect, many flowered lax racemes; bracts subulate; calyx silvery hairy, teeth triangular, acute, as long as the tube; corolla reddish-yellow, as long as calyx, standard pubescent at back, ovate, keel straight, not rostrate, spurred on each side near the base pods tapering, nearly straight, scarsely at all recurved, glabrous when mature, 8-12 seeded, not torulose. |
