Annual herb; stipules large, adpressed to the stem, foliaceous, hastate, truncate, entire; leaflets modified into tendrils; flowers 1-2, axillary, yellow on a long peduncle, peduncle 2-3 times the stipule; calyx teeth equal, lanceolate, exceeding the tube; corolla twice as the calyx, yellow, standard broad, keel shorter than wings; stamens diadelphous, tube truncate at the mouth; ovary sub-sessile, many ovuled; style flattened, bearded on inner edge; stigma capitate; pods linear-oblong, wingless, 4-6 seeded.
