Annual, prostrate herb, reaching up to 30 cm high with sub-glabrous branches; leaves petiolate, about 1.5 cm, 3-foliolate, stipules lanciniate; leaflets obovate to cuneate, obtuse, faintly toothed or serrate; inflorescence 2-6 flowered lax racemes, peduncles short; calyx campanulate, teeth 5, lanceolate, subequal, as long as the tube; corolla yellow, 5 lobed, more or less exserted, free from staminal tube, standard and wings oblong, keel straight; stamens diadelphous (9+1), filaments filiform, anthers uniform; ovary sessile, usually many ovuled; style short, little incurved; stigma oblique; pods many seeded, spirally coiled, 2-4 spirals, not jointed, reticulately margined with a double row of spines, indehiscent. |
