Plant Description

Small, much brached, robust, erect, annual, herb; stems and branches slender, subglabrous with strong smell; leaves alternate, 3-foliolate; stipules lanceolate, not laciniated; leaflets oblong or oblanceolate, cuneate at base, rounded, margins toothed, emarginate at apex; flowers 1-2, axillary, sessile, pale yellow or white; calyx teeth linear, distinct, subequal; corolla much exserted, petals free from staminal tube, standard and wings narrow, keel shorter, obtuse; stamens diadelphous, filaments not dilated, anthers uniform; ovary sessile, many ovuled, style glabrous; stigma capitate; pods straight or slightly curved with long persistent beak, turgid; seeds many, angular, brownish yellow.
