Trailing, twining, straggling, suberect, annual or perennial herbs; stipules peltate, ovate-oblong, ciliate; leaves 3-folioate; leaflets palmately 3- lobed, the middle lobe larger, oblong, broadly spathulate, obtuse, lateral lobes oblong, spathulate, obtuse or subacute; racemes short, axillary; bracteate, bracteolate; calyx glabrous, teeth minute; corolla yellow, exserted, standard orbicular, often auricled at base, wings obovate, falcate, scarcely adnate to incurved keel; stamens diadelphous (9+1), anthers uniform; ovary sessile, many ovuled; style filiform, bearded, stigma oblique; pods cylindrical, glabrescent, 6-16 seeded.
