Annual, erect herb or under shrub, about 1m tall, stem and branches angular, pubescent; leaves 4-7 cm long, leaflets 3 pairs, obovate-oblong, cuneate, rounded at base, with a gland between the lowest pair of leaflets only, margin entire, apex obtuse, apiculate, glabrous above; rachis grooved, more or less pubescent; stipules linear, subulate, caducous; flower bright yellow paired in racemes, axillary; bracteoles 2, linear; calyx lobes 5, ovate, acute, glabrous; petals 5, bright yellow subequal, oblong, obtuse, one upper petal truncate; stamens10, perfect 7, staminodes 3, subequal; ovary subsessile, curved, pubescent, style short; pods stipitate, very long, subterete, or subtetragonous, glabrous, faintly reticulate, narrow sutures; seeds 30-35, uniseriate, rhomboidal, brown. |
