Plant Description

Tree upto 10 m tall; bark brown, smooth; branches erect, terete; leaves alternate, paripinnate, leaflets 6-8 pairs, elliptic, acute at apex, glabrous above, pubescent beneath; petiole and rachis glandular; stipules curved at base; flowers bright yellow in large, erect, terminal panicles; sepals 5, unequal, ovate, concave, imbricate; petals 5, subequal, ovate to oblong, clawed, imbricate; stamens 7 perfect, 3 undeveloped or staminodes, all yellow; ovary stipitate, many ovuled, style curved, stigma simple; pods 10-20 cm, cylindric, torulose, smooth, many seeded.
