Elegant shrub with arching branches; leaves alternate, bipinnate, pinnae-2 with 6-12 pairs of leaflets, pinnules opposite, small, oblique, obovate, obtuse, prominently veined, glabrous; flowers subsessile, bisexual, pentamerous, showy in globose heads; calyx campanulate, 4-5 toothed; corolla 5-lobed, green, petals oblique, obtuse; stamens many, more or less united at base into a tube, filaments slender, long, protruded much beyond the petals, white towards the base and pink towards the top; ovary sessile or subsessile, stipitate, many ovuled, style filiform, stigma capitate; pods green, flattened, few seeded. |
