Tall, erect or straggling, evergreen shrubs; young branches bronzy; leaves alternate, digitately 5-7 foliolate, glossy, green often margined with light yellow, sometimes variegated with creamy-white to yellow edges or centres, leaflets elliptic-oblong, entire, aoex acuminate, base rounded, coriaceous; flowers seldom produced, insignificant, white or yellowish green in terminal, paniculate racemes; calyx cup shaped, 5-lobed; petals five, small; stamens-5, free, anthers oblong, filaments slender, short; ovary 5-6 celled, obsurely lobed, style short, filiform, stigma capitate; fruit globose or 5-6 angled, few seeded drupe.
