Annual herb, erect, 10-40 cm tall; stems sparsely branched; lower leaves petioled, pinnatipartite with linear, lanceolate to oblong, subacute to obtuse segments, upper smaller, linear to lanceolate, sometimes lyrate to sinuate, all except the lowest auricled, glaucous; flowers in corymbose racemes; white, small, cruciform, zygomorphic on account of the two larger petals; stamens-6, tertradynamous, ovary, 1-celled, many ovuled, parietal placentation, style short, stigma simple or lobed; fruit silicula, ellipsoid, retuse with acute or acuminate, diverging lobes; seeds narrowly margined. |
