Annual, erect, annual, glandular, pubescent herb reaching up to 1m in height; much branched; stem with longitudinal, parallel lines, sticky with glandular hairs; leaves long petioled, digitate, usually 5 foliolate; leaflets elliptic or obovate or lanceolate, sessile; inflorescence many flowered, terminal racemes; flowers bracteate, showy; sepals-4, acute, spreading; petals 4, long clawed, white or pink; stamens 6, anthers yellow, filaments adnate below into a slender gynophore, spreading above; ovary stalked,1-locular with many ovules; capsule linear-cylindric, 2-valved siliqua, replum persistent; minutely beaked, glabrous, striated; seeds many, discoid or reniform, blackish brown, scabrous. |
