A beautiful, scandent shrub; leaves opposite, sometimes alternate, 3-foliolate, terminal leaflet large, laterals small but more than half of the terminal one; leaflets broadly ovate, obtuse or sometimes acute, base rounded, truncate or subcordate, glabrous, membranous, shining, 3-nerved; flowers pure white in axillary or terminal,10-50 flowered, lax, trichotomous, minutely pubescent cymes; pedicels very short; bracts minute; calyx sub-truncate, glabrous; corolla salver shaped, tube long, about 2 cm, lobes 5-9, elliptic, obtuse; stamens-2, included in corolla tube, filaments very short, anthers oblong; ovary 2-celled, ovule 2 in each, style short, stigmas 2, linear. |
