Trailing or climbing herb; stem twining, angular, pubescent or glabrous; leaves ovate-cordate or hastate, variable in breadth, base auriculate; flowers axillary. solitary or paired, penduncles slender; bracts linear, small; pedicels often with 2-bracteoles at about the middle; sepals-5, elliptic-obtuse, truneate, unequal or nearly so, glabrous; corolla light pink, rarely white, broadly funnel shaped, glabrous; stamens-5, included, filaments unequal; ovary 2-celled, 4-ovuled, style filiform, stigmas-2, distinct, oblong or linear; capsules globose, dehiscent, 4-valved, glabrous; seeds 4, brown, subtrigonous, glabrous.
