Plant Description

Prostrate, perennial, glabrous herb, sometimes with short tomentose, rooting at nodes; leaves alternate, petiolate, simple, broadly ovate to auriculate, obtuse or emarginate at apex, glabrous or slightly pubescent beneath; flowers solitary in leaf axils, pedicels short; sepals-5, free, elliptic or ovate-oblong, pubescent; corolla white, broadly campanulate, subrotate, deeply 5-lobed; stamens 5, epipetalous, exserted, anther versatile; styles-2, free, united only at the base, stigmas 2; capsules small, 2-lobed or globose, non fleshy; seeds subglobose, brown to black, slightly muricate.
