Erect, much branched, glabrous shrub; branches angular, glabrous; leaves alternate, petiolate, lanceolate, tapering tpwards apex; flowers sessile, in axillary or terminal, umbelliform cymes, fragrant at night, subended by narrow, lanceolate bract; calyx campanulate, glabrous, lobes-5, ovate, ciliate, acute; corolla lobes 5, broadly ovate, obtuse or acute, greenish or pale-yellow; stamens 5, included, anthers 2 celled; ovary 2-locular with numerous ovules, placenta axile; style filiform; stigma capitate; berry, small, globose or ovoid, 1-seeded (not seen).
