Plant Description

Tall shrub, about 2 m high; stem with prickles; leaves ovate-sinuate, lobes shallow, somewhat triangular, softly hairy above, never prickly; flowers in extra-axillary corymbose, many flowered racemes; sepals-5, lanceolate, sparingly hairy, enlarged in fruits; corolla white, 2-2.5 cm across, 5-lobed, cleft halfway down, pubescent outside; stamens-5, inserted at the throat, filaments short, anthers oblong; ovary 2-celled, oblong, glabrous, style columnar, glabrous, stigma globoid; berry yellow, globose, much exceeding beyond calyx, glabrous; seeds many, smooth.
