Plant Description

Tree deciduous; leaves elliptic, oblong, acuminate at apex, serrate, glabrous beneath, petioles prominent; panicles large up to 15 cm, terminal, compound, densely pubescent, crowded with flowers; calyx-5, partile, teeth very short, deltoid; corolla white, lobes very short, broadly oblong, reflexed, tube short, imbricate in bud; stamens-5, exserted, anthers ovate-oblong, filaments slender; ovary 2-celled, 2-ovuled in each, style bifid for less than half of its length, branches linear, stigma minutely capitate; drupes more or less shortly ellipsoid, orange, pyrenes-2, each 2-seeded.
