Small, annual herb; stem branched, hairy with white pubescence; leaves radical, spathulate, obovate to oblanceolate, entire or crenate, minute, stiff hairs (like spine) on both surfaces; flowers small, white with yellow spots, in terminal, clusters; calyx campanulate, 5-lobed, hairs on vein; corolla 2-lipped, tube short, lower lip 3-lobed, middle lobe smaller than laterals, upper lip 2-lobed, ridges of lower lip brown, spotted with yellow; stamens 4, didynamous, included, anther cells 2, contiguous; ovary 2 celled, ovoid, style dilated, stigma 2-lobed; capsule globose or subglobose, many seeded; seeds minute, ovoid. |
