Perennial herb, rhizomatous, glabrous; stem erect or procumbent, somewhat succulent, woody at base, stem, stipules, petioles and leaves contained cystoliths; stipules caducous, green, brownish when dry, oblong, longitudinally, 2-ribbed; petiole subequal in length; leaf blade obovate, papery, 3-veined at the base, lamina broadly cuneate or subrounded, margins obscurely dentate, apex obtuse; inflorescence not seen.
