Acaulescent, perennial herb or undershrub; leaves flattened, fleshy, narrowed at base, transversely banded by dark green patches, gradually attenuated, about 30-50 cm long; flowers numerous in facicles of 5-15 cm long, stout, narrow, scape with branched or unbranched racemes; perianth white, tube short, lobes-6, linear-oblong, connate below the middle; stamens 6, filaments filiform, shorter than the perianth; ovary ovoid; ovules solitary, style filiform, stigma slightly thickened; fruits berries, 1-3 seeded. |
