Evergreen, low-growing, rhizo natons, tropical, perennial; leaves broad, oval, upto 8 inches long by half as wide, leaves fold upward at height graying green to purplish green; flowers are small with three petals and with two longer petal like staminodes; white fruit in either fleshy or a loculicidally capsule.
