Habitat : Large Jheels and reservoirs
Identification : Golden orange head, red bill, black neck chest.
Status : Migratory
Distribution : Widespread in central India
Food : Aquatic weed, shoot, insects, crustaceans
Nest : Extralimital, reeds and grass nests
Eggs : 7-12, pale olive grey
