Diagnostic characters:

| A long, slender and smooth-scaled snake with elongated head. Neck distinct; snout bluntly rounded and much depressed; eyes large with round pupil; prominent lateral keels on the ventrals; tail very long, thin and wire-like. Colour variable: bronze-brown or purplish-brown, greenish-yellow back with a series of large orange or red vertebral spots alternate with black bands; head black with yellow bars or spots; belly lemon-yellow.SVL: 1200mm. |
